On Thursday, May 14th, Keller Williams Realty will be celebrating our first national “Red Day”.  RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a new Keller Williams Realty service initiative. Thousands of Keller Williams Realtors and staff members across the US and Canada will be donating ther time, talent & treasure on May 14, 2009 in an effort to help our local communities.

Our local office will participate in a drive to benefit SHARE of McLean (www.ShareofMcLean.com). Share, Inc. was established in 1969 by a coalition of religious and civic institutions to meet the emergency needs of the less fortunate in McLean, Great Falls, Pimmit Hills and surrounding areas. Share is sustained by donations of food, clothing, furniture and funds, and is administered by volunteers. Share aids lower income families in Northern Virginia to meet their emergency needs. Because of the economic downturn, SHARE has seen a 68% increase in the number of households seeking food and other assistance. 

Agents from our McLean Keller Williams office (including members of The Belt Team) will be outside the McLean Safeway & Giant Food stores on Thursday, May 14th. We will be collecting groceries and donations on behalf of SHARE. If you would like to participate in this effort, here’s the list of items that SHARE is particularly in need of:

We had several new listings go on the market this week (some great homes!). But the award for best laugh goes to our Sellers on Pleasant Street. They called to tell us that when our Keller Williams sign went up in the front yard, their 2 year old son wanted to know why there was “a stop sign in their yard”??
